A list of Maple Grove summer events 2026 can tell you what is happening. It may not tell you how the season fits together.
The useful pattern is weekly. Town Green carries much of the recurring schedule, with Monday concerts, Wednesday tribute shows, Thursday morning children’s entertainment and Friday movies. The Maple Grove Farmers Market adds a reliable Thursday afternoon stop at the Community Center. Larger events such as Maple Grove Days, Summer Slam & Jam and Restaurant Week temporarily expand that routine.
For residents, that changes how the calendar works. Instead of choosing a few major weekends and ignoring the rest, you can plan around a dependable set of weekdays. Here is how the season builds and where the schedule changes.
The Basic Maple Grove Summer Pattern
The 2026 Town Green schedule establishes the core rhythm:

The Maple Grove Farmers Market is the longest-running piece of this pattern. It operates outdoors every Thursday from May 7 through October 15 at the Maple Grove Community Center. Hours remain 3 to 7 p.m. through September, then shift to 3 to 6 p.m. in October. The market returned to the Community Center’s newly completed parking lot in 2026.
How June Built Toward The Main Season
Early June worked as a warmup rather than a full weekly schedule. Sustainable Safari brought an animal show to Town Green on June 4, followed by Felix & Fingers Dueling Pianos on June 11. Maple Grove Chalkfest then took over Main Street on June 13 and 14.
The second half of June broadened the calendar. Cross Community Players presented Shrek the Musical at Town Green across seven dates from June 18 through June 27. The Monday Sounds of Summer series began June 22 with Necessary Diversion, followed by Dirty Brass Shorts Band on June 29.
By July, the weekly framework was established. That is when planning by weekday becomes more useful than scanning every event individually.
July 15–19: Maple Grove Days Changes The Map
Mid-July is the clear exception to the normal pattern. Maple Grove Days spreads activity across Town Green, Central Park, Main Street, Weaver Lake Park and other locations from July 15 through 19.
The parade is Thursday, July 16. Political units begin at 6:10 p.m., and the main parade starts at 6:30 p.m. The parade route follows 89th Avenue from Zachary Lane to Elm Creek Boulevard. Organizers ask spectators not to reserve roadside spaces before parade day.
Friday, July 17 combines smaller daytime events with an evening at Town Green. The published schedule includes Capture the Flag at Weaver Lake Park from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Town Green programming from 5 to 10 p.m., the Diaper Derby at 6:30 p.m. and Zootopia 2 at dusk.
Saturday, July 18 is the busiest day of the celebration. Central Park hosts the Food Zone, Family Fun Zone, Lions Corn Roast, beer garden, entertainment, children’s activities and a sensory-friendly tent. Main Street adds the Classic Car Show and bed races.
The Arbor Lakes Art Fair overlaps the celebration at The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes. The free juried show runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, with painting, jewelry, ceramics, woodwork, sculpture and photography.
Saturday closes with fireworks at Central Park. Viewing centers on the Great Lawn, and organizers rope off a 500-foot fall zone for safety.
The practical takeaway: Maple Grove Days is not one event at one venue. Residents choosing more than one activity should check the location of each stop before leaving home.
July 20–26: The Regular Routine Returns
The week after Maple Grove Days is the cleanest example of the normal summer schedule:
- Monday, July 20: Jazz on the Prairie Big Band at Town Green from 7 to 9 p.m.
- Wednesday, July 22: Free Fallin’, featuring Tom Petty material, from 7 to 9 p.m.
- Thursday, July 23: Todd & Tina from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.
- Thursday afternoon: Farmers Market at the Community Center from 3 to 7 p.m.
- Friday, July 24: The Mighty Ducks at dusk.
This is the week that best demonstrates the season’s underlying logic. Monday and Wednesday cover evening music, Thursday carries daytime programming and Friday provides a casual close to the workweek.
July 27–August 2: Same Framework, Different Lineup
The schedule repeats without feeling identical. The C Notes play pop and rock Monday, July 27. AMY brings Amy Winehouse material to Grooves & Foods on Wednesday, July 29. Sticks & Tones performs Thursday morning, followed by the Farmers Market that afternoon.
The Friday movie on July 31 is the 2025 version of Lilo & Stitch.
Residents do not need to relearn the calendar for this week. The performers change while the weekday structure stays in place.
August 3–9: The Calendar Expands Again
The first full week of August is one of the season’s busiest because several larger programs sit on top of the Town Green routine.
Jeff Dayton & Friends performs Monday, August 3. National Night Out follows Tuesday, August 4. Maple Grove Police and Fire departments host a free lunch and emergency-equipment show at Central Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with neighborhood block parties during the evening.
Legacy of the Loud brings Styx and Foreigner material to Town Green Wednesday. Teddy Bear Band performs Thursday morning, the Farmers Market opens Thursday afternoon, and Back to the Future screens Friday at dusk.
Summer Slam & Jam also runs August 6 through 9 at Lakeview Knolls Park and Pints & Paddle. Round-robin play uses the 18 outdoor courts at Lakeview Knolls. Bracket matches and post-game activity continue at Pints & Paddle. The event advertises 28 divisions and at least six games for each team.
This week requires a choice between overlapping activities. It is better treated as a menu than a checklist.
The Week Beginning August 10: Music Meets Restaurant Week
The regular schedule continues with In2ition on Monday, August 10, and Mitchell Hall & Tennessee Trio presenting Johnny Cash material on Wednesday, August 12. The Jolly Pops performs Thursday morning, followed by the Farmers Market. Inside Out 2 screens Friday at dusk.
Maple Grove Restaurant Week runs during the week beginning August 10. Organizer information describes a digital dining passport that awards one stamp per participating restaurant. Six different stamps generate a grand-prize entry.
The final 2026 restaurant lineup and offers were still being updated when the summer information was published. Official pages have also displayed different closing dates, so confirm the live Restaurant Week information before building a multi-stop plan.
The more useful strategy is to pair one dining stop with an event already on the calendar. That keeps Restaurant Week connected to the established summer routine instead of turning it into a separate project.
August 17–23: One More Full Week
The Beau Baker Band opens the week Monday, August 17. A Pop Up Splash Pad runs at Thoresen Park Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. Spinning Wheel Trilogy brings music associated with Chicago and more to Town Green Wednesday.
Wendy’s Wiggle, Jiggle & Jam performs Thursday morning. The Farmers Market follows that afternoon, and the 1993 Jurassic Park screens Friday at dusk.
By this point in August, the pattern should feel familiar. The one-off Tuesday splash pad is the addition to remember.
August 24–30: Town Green’s Formal Finale
The last full week of Town Green programming closes the season in its usual order:
- Fiddles & Flannels performs Monday, August 24.
- Our House presents music associated with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young on Wednesday, August 26.
- Gigi the Ukulady performs Thursday morning.
- The Farmers Market opens Thursday afternoon.
- Ratatouille screens Friday, August 28, at dusk.
Town Green’s entertainment schedule ends, but the Farmers Market continues every Thursday through October 15. That creates a gradual seasonal transition rather than an abrupt stop.
Three Details That Make Planning Easier
Bring dinner if that simplifies the evening
Town Green allows picnics, coolers and takeout containers. Concessions are also available. Grills are not permitted.
Know the parking options
Free parking is available on Main Street, on the upper level of the library ramp, at the Community Center and at the Government Center on most evenings.
Check conditions before leaving
For questionable weather, the city directs residents to the parks weather hotline at 763-494-5959 for cancellations and updates.
Late-summer road work may also affect timing. Hennepin County expects construction to begin at Hemlock Lane and Elm Creek Boulevard in late summer. The intersection is expected to remain open, and business access will be maintained, but drivers should allow for delays. The Fernbrook Lane and 99th Avenue intersection is scheduled to remain closed until early September for roundabout and related improvements.
Summer Works Better When You Plan By Weekday
Maple Grove’s 2026 summer calendar has plenty of individual events, but its real strength is predictability. Monday means a concert. Wednesday means Grooves & Foods. Thursday combines morning entertainment with the Farmers Market. Friday means a movie at dusk. Major weeks add options without erasing that foundation.
That is the resident’s version of the schedule. Start with the weekday, then choose the event.
One final date extends the outdoor season: Rock’n the Grove is scheduled for Saturday, September 19 at Central Park. Gates open at 3 p.m., with Rival 5, Paul Peterson & The Minneapolis Funk All Stars, and Hairball announced for the lineup.
